More snow than we have every experienced before! Not record breaking for MN but sure will be something which we remember!!! Today Tim led worship chapel for the students, Ginger gave a presentation in class on the medical/health needs in Thailand. Both of us put considerable preparation into these activities. The evening presented opportunity to connect with classmates and others who are interested in the Valentine Fundraiser we are a part of. (6 Interns have teamed up to offer flower delivery and raise support for Intership.) Our small group got together this last Sunday for the first time since Christmas break. What a group! There is a lot each family shares in common and much that each family has to offer. One couple just hada miscarriage over Christmas. We pray for them…We take comfort in their prayers too. All green lights for pursuing Thailand so far. The families gathered after church were excited to have us fill them in. We are the “missionary couple” for this group - something they plan to continue as a ministry to families on campus after we leave. It was a little thought provoking to hear the term, “missionary couple”! I mean, sure - we’ve been planning and praying and walking in mission for some time… Just something about the term since it was the first time we heard it in reference to us and a defined country - Thailand. I believe the Lord is up to something in regard to Thailand and this Griffin family… we shall see! Gabrielle and Hanakah enjoyed the birthday party for a friend last night and will enjoy another B-day party & Valentines party on Friday. Received a fun Valentines package and letters from family today…
