Scooping up the Griffin Family - Rayong

good-bye Pae!
Hello From Rayong once again!
The calendar has jumped us and we are at the end of internship in Rayong. WOW! What an amazing thing it has been to live, walk, share, and do life with our brothers and sisters and the many friends we have met during our stay. Only recently have we gotten excited about the fact we are leaving and soon will see our family and friends at home in Washington. And we are excited – we will get to see you!

What is ahead of us?
We have asked all our family here in Rayong to be praying for us as we face a number of transitions. You can pray too :-)

~ We fly in 14 hours: In Washington for the next three weeks! Yeah!!
We will be telling our story in three places during those weeks:
May 20 Potluck at Northern Peaks Christian Fellowship – 6-8pm (dinner/ Griffin’s-Thailand and possibly the Rusher’s-Haiti)
May 22 Morning Service at Samish Island Memorial Chapel 10am
May 29 Morning Service at Sehome Community Fellowship 10am

~ Drive To MN June 1:
Bethany College of Missions – 6months
Our internship is a significant part of the mission’s training. Did I say, “significant? Oh yes – we knew it would be. It was a good part of why we chose to do Bethany College in the first place. And we are so glad it has worked for us to work through this four year training. Our final stretch at Bethany is ahead of us. These six months will take us from June 13 through December when we graduate. This season will mean more training, more hands on inner-city ministry, and continued relationship with people we have grown close to during this season of life. (Hello Minnesota!) Wherever we go God continues to bless us with people who love Him and who have loved on us too – what an incredible thing the Church is! Thank you Jesus!
two smiles we will miss!

~ Saying Good-Bye, and See you Later - presently:
This has not been something we’ve looked forward too.
I imagine that this aspect of life doesn’t necessarily get easier the longer you experience life. I don’t know. This week we have said good-bye to Kiing and Dow, Som-Wan, Jiw, Bea, Geng, Jeff & Aor, Tulip, Piboon & Pom, Nicky, Pae, Jook, Kea, Tor, Toy, Tuk-ta, Bin, Ban, Jam, Ball, Tina, Timm & Duong, … …, and tonight we say good-bye to Kevin & Natelle – Matthias, Tazzy & Lydia.
The Thai phrase I find good for this occasion: “Phop gan mai!â€? - “meet with you again!â€? Indeed, as we said good-bye to many people our hearts long for the reality of seeing them again - in the place where there will be no more good-byes! That is the danger of living life like we have been. But it is worth it. We are such blessed people! Our hope is that we continue to be a blessing to the many friends and family we’ve become tied to here!
a good-bye last beach visit
Thank you for praying us through this time of serving and relationship. Pray for a safe travel home, recovery from jet-lag, wisdom and joy in pursuing the path ahead!

In Him,

Tim & Ginger, Gabrielle and Hanakah too :-)
