earthly belongings on 8 pallets

YES! The package arrived. An answered prayer!

3600 pounds of personal goods stacked and wrapped on 8 pallets.
Seemingly none the worse for the wear.

I cannot tell you how big the check mark on the list in my mind is. For a while it appeared that I might need to fly back and pickup this load in Minneapolis. I am grateful that another route was found.

26 feet of household goods
26 foot of truck. Makes for a fun drive from the dock to mom and dad’s house

Ginger inspects the freight - all clear!

As I talked with the driver who dropped the shipment at a local warehouse he was rather impressed that all our possessions fit on only eight pallets. In the back of my mind I was remembering how I was trying to pack things tightly and keep it to six pallets. Overall though I feel pretty good about how compact we were able to leave after four years of packed and stacked living in the dorms of the Bethany Campus. Our conversation also reminded me how life is so much more than our material stuff.

After unpacking and shuffling it into mom’s garage and with her help I felt just as proud of our packing job. She actually has more room in her garage than before we unloaded! Pretty good packing job I say. We both dripped sweat in the heat of a summer cooker by WA standards.

Now… to find a place to call home - that is the current big item on the list in this head. We have talked some interesting options regarding where to rest our heads during this transition and then in Vancouver/Portland. Traveling over the next three weeks will bring us back to WA ready to earnestly find the next drop for goods and family ;-) The prayer of cost effective transport of household items was answered - we know the Father has the just right answer for our present request as well.

Honestly I have been waking up pretty early to work on critical details that are pressing into me from every side. Even so, sleep has been pretty deep.; it helps a lot to know that our lives are in capable hands! He is so good to us.
