So, I have had this machine for nearly 4 years now(am conniving how to upgrade as they DO NOT last forever). I’m sort of a no-confrontational type and if you want to hear the boasting I do about my machine you would have to walk with me a while. There are things that I really like about it, and there are plenty of frustrations I have had. It serves me well and everything I throw at it – it handles fairly well. Sometimes I do feel sorry for my pc friends. But I try to hide it 
So, the real problem. I cannot go anywhere public without people asking me about the machine, how to use it, how much better it is than the other option… etc. Usually this happens when there is a pc user nearby, and I feel obligated to protect them from becoming disgruntled or from just getting up and leaving. As I right the guy next to me just got up and walked out of the coffee shop. Sorry, I really am
The two guys really interested in the machine have kind of taken the hint, that I do not want to talk about it right now. They keep looking at me guiltily and are wishing they were the ones in my chair pushing the buttons – they told me so. Ughh. I think I might have to leave! Oh, I’ll put my headphones in and listen to the podcast I was in the middle of so I don’t have to talk about the tool in front of me.
So, I better write something here worth reading. Not my words:

As I sit typing on my wonderful pc, my trustee youth pastor is using my old pc because his mac died again… and my sons died as well… so he is using my 1999 Del Laptop that has never died.
Ever tried to replace a hard drive in a mac…
Apples are great for pies but not computers.

Like I say, this machine I’m typing on has had its share of challenges. But has so far been the most reliable machine I’ve known. For that I am grateful. Did replace the hard drive – needed more space and the new one is faster. One reason I’ve hesitated to move to a newer unit: will it be as surefire as this has been for me? Will have to write later and let you know

So, I’m at a coffee shop and was just barraged by a slew of questions from a lady hesitating to make the jump to a 13″ mac. Her previous windows machine had serious problems after 2 months and she’s had to borrow a friends mac which still works fine after 5 years. (I’ve recently updated to the 13″ macbook pro – yeah!!!) 5 minutes of questions and answers… I should wear a t-shirt that identifies me as a genius bar employee
Happy to answer questions… but my internet connection is about to time out and there’s a few more things remaining on my todo list for today
